When
not in use for the Wilderness Adventure groups, the bunkhouse is
available as a wilderness hostel for folks visiting the area. Rates are
$25.00 per night per person. Twin bunkbeds (dormitory style) with
linens are available, or you can bring your sleeping bag. A fully
equipped kitchen is available for you to prepare your own meals/snacks
(gas oven, microwave, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, pots/pans,
dishes, utensils, etc.). There's also the family-owned Homeplace
Restaurant just a mile down the road that serves breakfast, lunch, and
dinner (including the best biscuits and gravy in the universe).
The shower house is available for hot showers (towels are provided)

- "The Dragon" - 11 mile (318 curves) scenic drive through the Smokies - 10 minutes
- Appalachian Trail/Fontana Dam - 45 minutes
- Cades Cove in the Smokies - 1 hr, 15 minutes
- Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge - 1 hr, 15 minutes
- Foothills Scenic Parkway 10 minutes
- Sequoyah Museum/Fort Loudon - 15 minutes
- Tellico, Chilhowee and Calderwood Lakes
- Joyce Kilmer/Slickrock Wilderness - 30 minutes
- Cheoah River (whitewater rafting) - 30 minutes
- Hiwassee/Ocoee Rivers - 1hr, Nantahala River 1 1/2 hrs.
- Cherohala Skyway - 40 minutes
- Citico Creek Wilderness - 30 minutes
- Blue Ridge Parkway - 2 hrs.
